The Land: The Ramparts

The Ramparts is the largest Westrian province, although one of the least populous. It includes the Sierras south of the Corona to the Elayan border (except Ahwana; no human lord would be so foolish as to claim that), and west to the Darkwater (San Joaquin River). These pictures were taken in August, 2003, on our way back from the Barren Lands (Nevada) along State Route 88 both east and west of its intersection with State Route 89.

These pictures were taken on 12 December, 2003, while driving from Rivered (Folsom) through Golder (Placerville), and eventually through [Westrian name] (Sonora) and down State Route 120, still the most commonly-used route to and from Awahna (Yosemite).
